Teen Literary Magazine
The TLC is launching an online literary magazine where teens can submit their work to be reviewed by TLC members for potential publication. The application period for their first publication period will be open until January 16th, 2026. Check out their website for categories and guidelines. Use the google form to submit your work for possible publication. If you have questions, you can reach out to tlc@norwalk.iowa.gov. Please note, the Teen Literary Magazine is an online publication composed of written submission from teens, selected by teens, and is meant for teen readers.
Teen Leadership Council
At the Teen Leadership Council (TLC), teens take the lead on designing library programs by and for teens and learn how they can support the success of programs for children and adults. Meet-ups will include snacks, chatting about books, and putting our heads together to design programs the group is interested in creating.
The TLC is for teens (Grades 7 – 12th) who have applied and been accepted. Please refer to our social media pages and calendars for when we are accepting applications.
Teen After Hours D& D
Join us once a month for pizza and D&D. No previous D&D experience is needed. Registration required. Grades 7 – 12th.
Teen Takeover: Hangout
We’ll play video & board games, have snacks, and provide an assortment of crafts for our teen patrons! Walk-ins are welcome! Grades 7-12th.
Books, Bites & Boba
Boba tea, booktalks, and noms! There is no assigned reading, just bring yourself and be ready to talk about a book you’ve been reading, or listen while others share, and sip on some boba tea! Registration strongly preferred. Grades 7-12th. Thank you to the Norwalk Domino’s for generously sponsoring the pizza at this event!
Tween Programs
