Teen Leadership Council

At the Teen Leadership Council (TLC), teens take the lead on designing library programs by and for teens and learn how they can support the success of programs for children and adults.  Meet-ups will include snacks, chatting about books, and putting our heads together to design programs the group is interested in creating.

The first two meetings are set to be on Sept. 23 & Oct. 28 from 5 – 6:30pm.

The TLC is for teens who have applied & been accepted. Participation can count towards silver cord hours. Grades 7 – 12th. Applications for the 2023-2024 school year are open Sept. – Dec.or until the group is full (whichever comes first). Pick up a form at the library or apply online here.

Teen After Hours D& D

Join us once a month for pizza and D&D. No previous D&D experience is needed. Registration required. Grades 7 – 12th.

Teen Takeover: Hangout

We’ll play video and board games, have snacks, and provide an assortment of crafts for our teen patrons! Walk-ins are welcome! Grades 7-12th.

Books, Bites & Boba

Boba tea, booktalks and noms! There is no assigned reading, just bring yourself and be ready to talk about a book you’ve been reading, or listen while others share, and sip on some boba tea! Registration strongly preferred. Grades 6 – 12th.

Hand Sewing with Charlene

Local sewing expert, Charlene, will lead participants on guided hand-stitching and hand sewing projects. Projects are geared toward beginning hand sewers and recommended for those in grades 4 – 6th. Participants must be in 4th grade or older. Registration required.

 September 23rd – Embroider your own pencil case

 October 28th – Stitch a design for a Trick-or-Treat bag
